Training is key tool in developing and maintaining a skilled, confident and motivated workforce.

We offer a range of training including:

ERGONOMICS and SAFETY TRAINING

Courses include those dealing with classical ergonomic issues as well as less specialised areas. These courses include those on personal responsibilities as well as courses for those with responsibility for risk assessment and/or general health and safety issues. There are also courses available for management groups both on management responsibility and strategic issues of safety.

Short courses
These are half day courses designed to increase the level of staff awareness of particular issues and to develop basic personal competencies. They are also designed to provide first line training on fundamental safety issues such DSE use and management, physical environments and manual handling

One Day Courses
These courses are designed to extend staff knowledge of specific issues and develop practical skills. They can also be used as awareness courses for staff at risk or staff managing/supervising high risk working areas where a greater level of knowledge is required.

Two/Three Day Courses
These are designed for management staff with line and executive responsibilities and those who will have day to day responsibility for identifying, assessing and reducing occupational risks. These courses can also be used in skills development programmes for supervisors or line managers who are take responsibility for safety management.

INTERPERSONAL AND ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS

Many of the key skills needed today are soft skills. These include communications, team management, particularly managing cross functional teams, and the ability to manage client and third party relationships and expectations. We provide a range of training courses and mentoring aimed at developing these core skills.

Interpersonal skills development programme for technologists
The courses within this programme are aimed at developing and refining the 'soft' skills necessary to ensure that those with a technological and engineering background can function well and productively within the business. Modules vary in length from half a day for the very basic modules to five days for those courses addressing complex issues.

INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL SYSTEMS TRAINING

These courses are intended for those who will commission, design and implement information systems. They address issues aimed at helping the users ofsystems to get better performance and greater acceptance and so a better return on the investment made in them.
